Exclusive: Inside the Jackal Attack Front Office

Fellow HumBabe Dynasty GMs, the 2025 champions have finally gotten their moment in the spotlight. As y’all have been finding your way to the Discord, Jackal Attack GM Zach Foose sat down for an exclusive Q&A. Fresh off a long-awaited title run powered by savvy moves, perfect timing, and ballsy trades that paid off, he’s ready to reflect on the triumph and — graciously — look ahead to 2026 without demanding the extra recap paragraphs he and Dallas felt were overdue all last year. Buckle up; the champs have spoken.

Q: Throughout 2025 you two were very vocal in the group chat about the recaps never giving Jackal Attack enough credit. Now that you’re champions — vindicated yet, or do I still owe you more paragraphs in 2026?

A: We will let the lack of mention last year slide and are focused on the future. We let the championship run speak for itself and hope to be held in high regard as one of the top teams going forward.

Q: Dallas (Owner) and Foose (General Manager) — how do you split duties? Who’s the ‘good cop’ pushing for blockbuster trades and who’s the ‘bad cop’ vetoing risky ones?

A: Dallas as the owner is just that. Best owner in Humbabe Dynasty and typically oversees the team as i do the day to day operations. I have his full support to make any move that I feel will benefit the team. He checks in on scores and the chat every so often. He usually handles the trash talk. Any trade approved or veto vote is usually done by me. I’m not even sure he’s in this discord lol. Will prob join a couple weeks before the season.

Q: What was the single move (trade, waiver pickup, lineup tweak) you’re most proud of from 2025, and why?

A: This is the easiest question of them all. And if anyone in the league paid attention to the chat right before the season started they would know the answer is Brice Turang from Nashville Stars for Bo Bichette. We got a ton of crap for that trade but who looks dumb now? Listen, it was tough to trade Bo as he’s been a part of the squad since the beginning but we simply had no room for him. Gunnar plays SS and our 2 UT spots are taken by Ohtani/Vlad. We didn’t have a 2B keeper and felt like we wouldn’t be able to get a good one in the draft. Interesting note about that trade was we were deciding between asking for Turang or Gimenez. Appears we made the right move. Side note thank you Pratap for Bryan Woo. It really was 1A 1B for those 2 moves.

Q: Everyone knows the big names — Shohei, Vlad Jr, Gunnar, Freddie — but who was the under-the-radar player on your roster that quietly made a massive difference down the stretch?

A: Unsung hero is definitely Nolan McLean. Added him from waivers May 5th and stashed him till he got called up. He was huge for us down the stretch averaging 20.75 per start.

Q: Without giving away state secrets — how tough are your keeper choices this off-season? Any painful cuts looming?

A: All the players on our 2025 team played a meaningful role to last years success so deciding keepers is always tough to see some go. The one that stands out the most is Ivan Herrera as he lost his catcher designation and we do not have a spot for him at UT. He had some big games for us last season.

Q: You’re defending champs now. Give us one bold prediction for the Jackal Attack in 2026 — repeat, early exit, or something crazier?

A: We’re going back to back like the Dodgers. Side note prediction for the league, Galatic Crusaders will make the playoffs.

Q: Rate the league’s trash talk on a scale of 1–10 this past season. What would improve it or make it better?

A: The banter is great. This league is awesome. Would be cool to see everyone active in the discord this season.

Q: Final word to the other 15 owners as they gear up to chase you down next year?

A: We aren’t here to take part, we are here to take over. Lets go Mets!

And there you have it, league — the defending champs aren’t resting. With keeper decisions looming (poor Ivan Herrera already drawing the short straw) and a bold claim of going back-to-back, Jackal Attack is locked in on trying to take over the HumBabe Dynasty. Foose tossed a bone to the Galactic Crusaders with a playoff prediction, but the message to the rest of us is clear: the target is on Jackal Attack’s back, and they’re ready for the hunt. Good luck trying to knock them off the throne in 2026, GMs; Dallas and Foose think you’re going to need it.
