Trade Market Heating Up
Six executed trades to this point in the 2023 HumBabe Dynasty Season – compared to just three at this stage of the 2022 Season. Max Muncy found new life when he suited up for the Brooklyn Robins, now averaging 5 points per game. Logan O’Hoppe unfortunately suffered, what could end up being, a season ending injury after he was acquired by the Eastside Bombers (an excellent Dynasty add nonetheless). Then the Hard Ball Lords of Destruction started wheeling and dealing. Participant to each of the last four executed trades, LoD (for short) has made the following additions and subtractions via struck deals with the London Bag Club, Perth Platypi, Orlando Splitters, and Brooklyn Robins:

Keller & the Stros
Mitch Keller, a Keeper for the Super Smash Stros, finished the 2022 Season with 344 total fantasy points (83rd best among all pitchers) which, over 31 appearances, worked to a mediocre average of just 11.1 points per game. Well that man figured something out over the offseason. Through nine 2023 starts, Keller has produced one complete game, seven quality starts, five wins, and 69 strikeouts in 56 2/3 innings pitched. Starting pitchers averaging 23 points per game, like the current Mitch Keller, is an Ace that any team would be happy to own and the Super Smash Stros’ staff didn’t stop with his League Best 69.5 points in Week Six. Jon Gray of the Texas Rangers threw for HumBabe’s sixth best performance in Week Six, 50.25 total points, averaging 25.12 for his two starts. The Super Smash Stros have been known for their bats to this point, ranking 4th best in League Hitting Points, but if Keller and Gray continue to throw like this – the Stros will quickly move up from their 9th place Pitching Point Total and become a contending team to reckon with.
Christian Yelich Reborn?
The Perth Platypi acquired Christian Yelich in their expansion season via trade with the London Bag Club. Perth sent Jarred Kelenic and Shane Baz to London, in exchange for Christian Yelich and Luis Patino. While Yelich is a big name superstar in the MLB, he hasn’t produced a MVP-caliber season since he finished second to Cody Bellinger for the National League Award in 2019. From 2020, through the 2022 season, Christian Yelich has averaged just 3.8 Fantasy Points per Game and two weeks ago, the trend wasn’t promising. While Perth was battling the Say Hey Kids in 2023’s Week Four Match-Up, Yelich tallied 7.5 total points in fifteen at-bats (a 1.5 point per game average). Well throw all of that away, Yelich has found a hot streak. In Week Five, the Platypi outfielder was up to a 5 FP/G average, and in Week Six, 8.67 Fantasy Points per Game (3rd Best Total across the League). Perth stands with a 3 – 3 record in the Shot Call League Ruth Division, trailing LeBronto and Brooklyn who are knotted at 4 – 2 records. Supplementing a hot Christian Yelich with a hopeful Matt Mervis, Rookie of the Year candidate Masataka Yoshida, and Mr. Ghost Fork himself Kodai Senga, gives these aquatic animals a fighting chance at Playoff contention.
