The Sarasota Splitters send Christian Pache, OF, to the London Bag Club in exchange for Minor League Prospect Triston Casas, 1B/3B. Both young players have high-ceiling potential, only difference is that Pache will start 2021 in Atlanta’s big league lineup where as Casas is a year or two away from joining the Red Sox.

Reaction: “Christian Pache is a great player, and at 22 years old he has a long promising career in front of him. He’s a gold-glove caliber defender that will be a great asset in London, unfortunately he just didn’t fit the mold of our Splitters team for the 2021 season. Landing an elite prospect like Triston Casas is a huge win here and we’re really proud of our personnel in the Front Office for getting this deal done. Our main objective while dealing Pache was to move up the 2021 Draft Board, which we accomplished, but we also added a power-bat that can develop for a couple more years in the minor league system before picking up where Paul Goldschmidt leaves off in a couple seasons.”
