2023 New Manager Draft Results

Officially Onboard

The HumBabe Dynasty officially welcomes the Eastside Bombers and Hard Ball Lords of Destruction, as they lay claim to their own fifteen MLB Keepers and five Minor League Keepers for the 2023 Season. The Draft started and completed on December 7th, 2022 – which speaks to both the excitement and commitment that these two General Managers have brought to the table.

Compared to years past, the pool of available players to these two expansion teams would compete with any. Mike Trout, Trea Turner and Manny Machado led the way, complimented by an assortment of other building blocks on the hitting side of the roster-building equation. One could argue that this Draft Class lacked front-end pitching, but the Hard Ball Lords of Destruction managed to staff Chris Bassitt, Frankie Montas, Nick Pivetta, Joe Ryan, Tyler Anderson and Taijuan Walker, while the Eastside Bombers will have Drew Rasmussen, Jose Quintana, Jeffrey Springs, Bailey Ober, Liam Hendriks and Ryne Stanek toe the rubber in 2023.

As the rest of the HumBabe Dynasty General Managers refine their own list of MLB and Minor League Keepers, these two new General Managers will certainly have the opportunity to enter the Trade Market and improve upon these current rosters. Keeping in mind that the fifteen keeper limit can’t be exceeded entering the 2023 Free Agent/Rookie (FAR) Draft come March, past offseasons have shown that swapping a player for a draft pick is just one of several viable options during the Winter Meeting Negotiations.
