LeBronto Heating Up

The LeBronto Blue James topped the scoring charts for a second week in a row, putting up 493.583 points in Week 19 and 475.083 in Week 20 against Morning Wood. Since their defeat in Week 18 to Jackal Attack, LeBronto has been the hottest team in the Hum Babe Dynasty and appears poised to make a postseason run. During the duration of Weeks 19 and 20, Jose Ramirez put up a League Best 97 points, including five homeruns and thirteen RBIs. Bryce Harper, the 16th best performer over the past two weeks, put up 73 points on the back of five homeruns and thirteen RBI’s of his own. LeBronto squares off against the Pebble Beach Mulligans in Week 21 and PED-co Park in Week 22 – they control their own destiny towards one of the yet-to-be-clinched Wild Card Playoff positions.
Orlando’s Strong Sunday

In one of the most competitive Match-Ups of the Week to date, the Orlando Splitters topped the Say Hey Kids 463.167 to 397.583, but it was a lot closer than that final score indicated. During the last day of the Match-Up, Orlando managed to collect 121.83 points, nearly 100 points more than Say Hey, and the largest contributions came from some unlikely sources. Taylor Hearn (Starting Pitcher for the Texas Rangers, in case you didn’t know) put together a Quality Start good for 23.33 points against the Houston Astros. Chris Archer and Aaron Ashby each collected better than 12 points in their four inning and five inning performances respectively. And Jesus Lurzardo, acquired in the Tyler Glasnow trade, finally put together a decent performance – totaling 27.5 points in his Quality Start/Win over the Cincinnati Reds. All four of those pitchers were added to the Orlando roster in the month of August, three by way of Free Agency, and should be a considerable portion of Orlando’s success during the 2021 Postseason.
Brooklyn Leading the Tie-Breaker

Another week down and we still have four teams competing for three playoff spots. Two weeks left to go in the Regular Season and as it stands, Straight Outta deGrompton is on the outside looking in. Despite an equal 10-10 record, the Brooklyn Robins own a Season Point Total that is almost 500 points ahead of Straight Outta deGrompton’s. Things would be really interesting if the possibility for all four teams to finish the season at 12-10 still existed, but with LeBronto and PED-co’s Match-Up in Week 21, that hypothetical is no longer. Currently the Season Point Totals would line the teams up as follows (most to least points): LeBronto Blue James, Brooklyn Robins, Straight Outta deGrompton, PED-co Park. Nonetheless, PED-co needs to win just one of the two remaining Match-Ups to clinch their postseason birth and could lock that up against the San Francisco Studs this week. Funny enough, the Brooklyn Robins and Straight Outta deGrompton face the same two opponents in the final weeks – Somalia Pirates and Wally Mash. DeGrompton’s hopes rely on a Brooklyn loss this week to Wally Mash, but so far, Brooklyn appears to be in a good position to not let that happen.
